JI participated in this round of the Hasbro Q&A. Here are our questions and subsequent answers. Thanks to Pat and Kevin for spearheading this effort.


1. With companies such as Mattel, Topps, Upper Deck and Golden Books currently selling off their archives of original art and preproduction material, and having great success at it, will there ever come a time where collectors could expect Hasbro to look to sell off some of the preproduction items from GI Joe (and other toylines) that are currently held within it's archives?

Hasbro may consider this in the future but we have no current plans to do this right now.


2. There have been many threads hoping that at some point G.I.Joe may get PAC/RATs or S.N.A.K.E. armor similar to the way Star Wars has had the Droid Factory waves. While nothing is ever certainly out of the question, has the debacle with the final MASS Device piece put a hamper on the possibility of future G.I.Joe "build-a-" sets?

Not at all, we are always looking at new and old ideas for inspiration. This is a great idea and we will look into it for the future.


3. Is the cancellation speculation for some of the newer vehicles true, or will we still see the Robotech-Mospeada inspired Delta 6 accelerator suit-motorcycle exosuit, the HISS scout, and the Ice Cutter?

No they are not cancelled. These vehicles are planned for release in the Pursuit of Cobra line in 2010. More news on this line will follow in the next few months.
